Hundreds of Wendy’s Fast Food Locations are Closing. I Can’t Say I’m Surprised.

Per the following article on Yahoo Finance's website, lots of Wendy's locations are about to close: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wendy-closing-hundreds-restaurants-152613129.html

My experience with Wendy's was that it was my absolute favorite as a kid in the early 1990s and as a teenager in the late 1990s. As a young kid, the super bar was awesome! As a powerlifting, football-playing teenager, I LOVED a taco salad and a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger. As a young adult, we would go there, but the menu items were changing for the worse. As an adult, I have no memory that sticks out. This would have been in the late 2000's through the 2010's. As a middle-aged man, I have been avoiding Wendy's for years. My memory now is of an expensive menu and salads that are tiny, expensive, and nothing like the recipes they used back in the day. And my two closest locations from the two cities I have lived in during the past 10 years had one thing in common about their lobbies: drink machines that never worked, filthy dining areas, and flies.

I also remember going through a period of getting home, opening the chili cup, and it only being 1/2 to 2/3 full. Oh, and somehow a potato with a pack of butter got ridiculously expensive.

Wendy's closing down doesn't shock me. It's kind of sad though. I used to think a nice, honest man was behind it who really loved his daughter, Wendy.
